Lawsuit against Westfield over Gift Cards
February 8, 2008
According to News 8 in San Diego, local law firm Finkelstein and Krinsk is seeking class action status for a lawsuit filed against the Westfield Group.
The suit has to do with gift card fees. The Westfield Group — which owns shopping centers in four countries — has been wrongfully imposing monthly charges on the balances of Westfield America Gift Cards starting one year after the date of issuance, alleges the suit.
The suit pertains to gift cards that were purchased both at Westfield’s shopping centers and online. It seeks to “recover damages on behalf of all California residents who purchased or received a Westfield America Gift Card on or after January 11, 2004.”
Are you a California resident who purchased a Westfield America Gift Card sometime after January 11th of 2004? If so, get more information about the lawsuit by contacting Jeffrey R. Krinsk toll free at 877-493-5366, or via e-mail at jrk@classactionlaw.com.
