New study on Viagra found that the majority of men respond within 20 minutes
From Hamburg, Germany, a new study on erectile dysfunction (ED) in men has found that 51% of those taking Viagra (sildenafil citrate) achieved an erection that resulted in a satisfying sexual relationship for 20 minutes, according to data presented today at the European Society for Research on Sex and Impotence (ESSIR).
In the double blind study, 228 men were successfully treated ED for at least two months when they were randomly assigned to receive or Viagra for 4 weeks.
Participants in the study had an average of 60 years, suffered from ED for an average of 7 years and most had suffered dysfunction considered moderate to severe. The patients achieved an erection sufficient for sexual conduct after taking his pills on a minimum of 2 hours after took it.
The results showed that at 14 minutes of ingesting Viagra, 35% of men achieved erections that at least one place on development of a sexual act with success. The majority of men (51%) achieved this response at 20 minutes.
